Family Life
In our Family Life program we took a peek into Mr. Talbot's classroom. This is the  classroom we will be journeying with throughout the year. The cornerstone or the most important rule in Mr. Talbot's classroom is RESPECT, respect for yourself, others, your work and the classroom. The rules in their classroom align perfectly with the rules in our class. Ask yourself...

  • Do you show respect for yourself? Do you value yourself and your gifts? When you value your gifts you work toward developing them. Do you persevere or show GRIT when work becomes difficult?
  • Are you respectful of other people in the school and classroom? Are you polite? Do you think of how your actions affect others?
  • Are you proud of your work? Is it your very best? Do you have a positive attitude toward school and learning?
  • Do you follow classroom rules? Are you contributing positively to the learning environment in the classroom? Are you working toward improving your learning skills?

Please remember to bring in your family pictures for the class bulletin board. Remember I will be attaching your pictures with staples, so a copy of a family picture might be best.

Math
Achievement on the Data Management test was a direct reflection of use of feedback, homework completion and your ability to use anchor charts posted in class as tools. If you do not correct your mistakes you are going to make the same mistakes on your test. Next Math period will be devoted to review of test answers. If you are disappointed with your mark, don't worry. You will get another Data Management test before the end of the term. Remember....

Orange Shirt Day
Thank you to all students who participated in Orange Shirt Day. Part of the healing process is to understand and speak the truth about what happened in Canadian Residential School.
