I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. We had an excellent day today at school. It didn't take us very long to get back in the swing of things!
Math
Please review quadrilaterals grade 4 and triangles grade 5. Know the properties and names of the different types of each including....
- equal sides
- parallel sides (quadrilaterals only)
- right angles
- lines of symmetry
- types of angles (triangles)
We also began multiplication. We talked about the different ways we can represent multiplication. We will be doing a bit of multiplication every day. Please represent the multiplication sentence different ways JUST LIKE ON THE HANDOUT or like the example below. You don't need to draw boxes, just write the name of the representation. For the array you can just show equal rows of Xs or circles.
Example: (6 X 3)
or
or
Make sure your quadrilateral / triangle character is complete with a CREATIVE description written in rough.
