We have completed all of the learning goals for our unit on Patterning. We will be reviewing next week and having short quizzes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
We have studied...
- Repeating patterns
- Growing number and shape patterns
- Shrinking number and shape patterns
- Creating and applying pattern rules
- Patterns in tables and t-charts
To review Patterns, go through your notebooks and make corrections. Read the purple pages in your duotang. They are the pages that have a summary of everything you should have learned. They are the study pages. They highlight important vocabulary and review the strategies we used to solve problems.

Family Life
Today we began talking about the ways the we grow. We know that the stages of development are:
infancy..... childhood.... adolescence.... adulthood
During each of those stages we grow in different ways. So far we have talked about growing physically and emotionally.
Social Studies
Today we participated in the Canada-wide Student Vote. Everyone had the opportunity to be involved in the voting process. Unfortunately we are not allowed to post or announce the results of our student vote. But you can share what happened at St. Nicholas with your parents. Which party won? Did he or she win the majority of votes? Do you think the rest of Canada will vote in the same way?
Here are the latest CBC polls:
Monday is election day....... I think it's still too close to call!
