Fractions that show they same amount are EQUIVALENT. Which fractions are equivalent to 1/2? which fractions are equivalent to 1? What is the relationship between the numerator and denominator in fractions equivalent to 1/2? 1 whole?

Literacy
Great job with reading groups today. Most groups were on task and practiced reading out loud very cooperatively. Two students forgot books at home. You MUST remember to bring your book back so you can practice your fluency. Most students did very well on the multiple choice questions. Choosing the most important events of the plot, was a bit tricky for some students.
Your goal is to finish your pen pal letter and final draft of your St. Nicholas habitat by Friday. Work on your pen pal letter at home if it is not finished.
Drama
Today we did a fun Drama Circle. You need to shake off your shyness and transform into the character you are portraying!
Science
Habitats test on Thursday. Work on your adaptation poster. Remember you cannot choose a polar bear or penguin.
Your poster should include:
- At least 3 to 5 structural or behavioral adaptations
- An explanation of how each adaptations helps the animal survive in its habitat.
- The majority of your page should be the animal you chose. The text boxes go on top of the photograph.
