Image result for second week of advent

Math
On Friday we began constructing INTERIOR angles in polygons. We will continue this on Monday.

Example: Construct a polygon with angles of 50 degrees and 75 degrees.

Step 1: Draw a line with two end points. They will be vertices in your polygon.

Step 2: Measure one given angle on one side of the line.

Step 3: Measure the other given angle on the other side of the line.

Step 4: Close the polygon to make any-sided figure. Remember a polygon must have sides that are STRAIGHT.

Try constructing a polygon with angles of 30 degrees and 110 degrees.

Science
On Friday you were given your Science Project. Your focus this weekend was to decide on the habitat you will construct and the creature you will create with adaptations to survive in that habitat. Remember the habitat is a REAL habitat on earth. The creature is not. You may choose to combine creatures........

Planning this project is very important. The habitat MUST BE CONSTRUCTED AT SCHOOL. Parts of the animal may be constructed at home.

Type in "habitat diorama" into your search engine and you will get many ideas.

You will be given all day Friday to build your habitat.

You must show me your plans before Wednesday. No materials except white glue and scissors will be given at school. Permission to use a hot glue gun must be given by a parent.

Try to use recycled materials or things around the house. There is no need to buy. Go outside and collect twigs, branches, rocks etc.

Large shoe stores may have an extra shoe box if you don't have one at home.

NO SCIENCE TEST BEFORE THE HOLIDAYS.
